Tandis que Mo\u00efse sur la montagne rencontre Dieu, le peuple demande \u00e0 Aaron\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0Fabrique-nous un dieu qui marche devant nous\u00a0!\u00a0\u00bb (32,1). C\u2019est ainsi que le peuple rompt l\u2019alliance entre Yhwh et Isra\u00ebl, l\u2019alliance qui demandait au peuple de ne pas avoir d\u2019autres divinit\u00e9s \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de Yhwh. C\u2019est la d\u00e9sob\u00e9issance \u00e0 la premi\u00e8re des dix paroles, au premier des dix commandements donn\u00e9s par Dieu \u00e0 Mo\u00efse sur le mont Sina\u00ef. Et comme r\u00e9action, Mo\u00efse ne peut que casser les tablettes qui contenaient les commandements\u00a0: l\u2019alliance est rompue. Il n\u2019y a plus aucun lien entre Yhwh et son peuple<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"font-family: Century Gothic,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><a href=\"#sdfootnote1sym\" name=\"sdfootnote1anc\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"font-family: Century Gothic,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"font-family: Century Gothic,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><i>Mais Mo\u00efse intervient aupr\u00e8s de Dieu, comme intercesseur pour son peuple. Il demande \u00e0 Dieu le pardon pour Isra\u00ebl. Mo\u00efse monte une nouvelle fois sur la montagne et rencontre Dieu. Et Dieu se r\u00e9v\u00e8le \u00e0 Mo\u00efse dans l\u2019intimit\u00e9\u00a0: \u00ab\u00a0il se tient l\u00e0, aupr\u00e8s de Mo\u00efse\u00a0\u00bb, nous dit le narrateur.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"font-family: Century Gothic,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><i>La suite du texte ne contient pas une d\u00e9finition &#8211; chose impossible &#8211; de Dieu. La suite du texte nous d\u00e9crit plut\u00f4t l\u2019action de Dieu dans l\u2019histoire humaine. En elle, Dieu se manifeste comme celui \u00ab\u00a0qui est plein de tendresse et qui fait gr\u00e2ce\u00a0\u00bb. L\u2019accent est ensuite sur l\u2019amour et, mentionn\u00e9e deux fois, sur la fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 de Dieu par rapport aux humains, une fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 malgr\u00e9 nos fautes, r\u00e9voltes et errements. Pour ce qui est de sa mis\u00e9ricorde, elle nous d\u00e9passe totalement\u00a0: mille g\u00e9n\u00e9rations sont totalement au del\u00e0 de tout ce que nous pouvons imaginer. Au contraire, pour ce qui concerne l\u2019injustice, le regard de Dieu s\u2019\u00e9tend seulement sur quatre g\u00e9n\u00e9rations, donc les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations qui peuvent se trouver ensemble sous le m\u00eame toit. <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"font-family: Century Gothic,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><i>Il y a donc une disproportion \u00e9norme entre l\u2019examen que Dieu exerce sur nos fautes et son pardon sans limites<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><sup><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"font-family: Century Gothic,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><i><a href=\"#sdfootnote2sym\" name=\"sdfootnote2anc\"><sup>2<\/sup><\/a><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/sup><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><span style=\"font-family: Century Gothic,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><i>. D\u2019ici la r\u00e9action de Mo\u00efse. Si le peuple s\u2019\u00e9tait prostern\u00e9 devant le veau d\u2019or (Ex 32,8), maintenant Mo\u00efse se prosterne et demande \u00e0 Dieu le pardon pour le peuple.
