[In quel tempo,] gli apostoli dissero al Signore: \u00abAccresci in noi la fede!\u00bb.
\nIl Signore rispose: \u00abSe aveste fede quanto un granello di senape, potreste dire a questo gelso: \u201cSr\u00e0dicati e vai a piantarti nel mare\u201d, ed esso vi obbedirebbe.
\nChi di voi, se ha un servo ad arare o a pascolare il gregge, gli dir\u00e0, quando rientra dal campo: \u201cVieni subito e mettiti a tavola\u201d? Non gli dir\u00e0 piuttosto: \u201cPrepara da mangiare, str\u00edngiti le vesti ai fianchi e s\u00e9rvimi, finch\u00e9 avr\u00f2 mangiato e bevuto, e dopo mangerai e berrai tu\u201d? Avr\u00e0 forse gratitudine verso quel servo, perch\u00e9 ha eseguito gli ordini ricevuti?
\nCos\u00ec anche voi, quando avrete fatto tutto quello che vi \u00e8 stato ordinato, dite: \u201cSiamo servi inutili. Abbiamo fatto quanto dovevamo fare\u201d\u00bb.<\/p>\n
